Kris Castner
Director of Digital Communications
Kris manages all threads related to digital strategy, data visualization, analytics, digital communications, reporting, and social media. Her strongest assets are a passionate curiosity and high figure-it-out quotient. She specializes in social listening, digital business development, ROI optimization, and digital analytics. Kris holds two Master's degrees and is A.B.D. in criminal justice program. Prior to joining Dedoose, Kris taught undergraduate coursework in Criminology, Anthropology, and Sociology at three universities and served in a blended Faculty-Student Research Center while an instructor at Millersville University. Her research interests include: social media and violence, gun violence and trafficking, crime data mapping, and digital data analysis tools.
When not working, Kris is usually weight training, in pursuit of a 5k PR, adventuring with her husband around their small town, or hanging out with their two dogs and “puppy-cat". As a self-dubbed "data nerd", Kris has also represented a major fitness watch brand as a sponsored athlete. Fun Fact: Kris placed in the quarter finals for an annual Ms. Health and Fitness competition sponsored by Women’s Health Magazine.
